Goretzka has started both of Germany's matches at the Confederations Cup in Russia so far, scoring in the 3-2 victory over Australia. Speaking in Sochi, Goretzka is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "I do not want to say anything about the transfer rumours, I'm focusing on the Confederations Cup. Goretzka, who has won seven caps for Germany, joined Schalke from hometown club VfL Bochum in 2013.Shalke's Leon Goretzka is expected to leave the club this summer as Arsenal prepare to make an official offer for the central midfielder. Joachim Löw on Leon Goretzka: "He puts himself about and works hard. He wins challenges in defence and makes excellent runs going forward. The Gunners are not the only club interested in the 22-year-old, as they could face stiff competition from Bayern Munich, Juventus and rivals Tottenham, who have all been linked with the young German.
